Quilting

Hi, Readers! I must tell you first off that “Quilting” is not a book. It’s a place where you can learn about one of my favorite pastime, my hobby, and my business. A number of years after I learned to quilt, I had a GoDaddy website up with many items for sale, but when I had my two back surgeries, I missed renewing it; and since I missed those notices, they deleted my site – the whole thing! All my purses, totes and bags! Like, everything! Geez! I had a few photos of each item I made – sewed and quilted. I had a description of the outside and the inside of it, the way I made it and the doodads I used on it – buttons, flowers, sequins and the like, if I appliqued, embroidered and/or painted on it. Sometimes I even wrote about how long it took to make it. Plus, I talked about the fabric – that usually it was 100% cotton, or satin, silk, corduroy, and denim – especially the type of denim. How upset was I!
Dennis, my husband, said I have a backup of all that somewhere. And there is that magic word “somewhere”!!! I looked and I have yet to find it. So now, after writing The WWII Chain Letter Gang book, and the trilogy, Patience A. Byrd in Hollow Earth (and is there a sequel?), I have to open the trailer and get out the over 100 items (now including sunhats, table runners and maybe there are some children’s and women’s clothing remaining, and photograph them, describe them, whatnot) and list them here for sale. I believe the prices are still tagged. I now have to add to that a few wall murals I’ve made since my surgeries and while writing the books.
Meanwhile, I’ve been going through my stash and found quite a few quilted blocks that I might sell. Some I’ve already donated and I understand they will be made into children’s quilts. (Will I have time in my late 70s to start quilting again plus writing? We will see, everyone, won’t we?)
So, that’s the story – so to speak, for real, folks!
